Saudi-Belgian Parliamentary Friendship
Committee of the Shura Council chaired by Prince Dr. Khalid bin Abdullah bin
Mishari held a meeting, on 28 February 2018 in Riyah with Peter De Roover ,President
of the New Flemish Alliance (N-VA) in the Belgian Federal Parliament,
accompanied by Peter Van Acker, the Director of Humanitarian Aid, Transitional
Development and Governance within the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who were in a visit to the Kingdom. Their visit was in
coordination with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Kingdom of
Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to participate in Riyadh International
Humanitarian Forum.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations in various fields, as
well as ways of enhancing joint parliamentary cooperation between the Shura
Council and the Belgian Parliament and activating the role of parliamentary
friendship committees in the two countries for strengthening collaboration
between them.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador
of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Geert Criel.
