The Shura Council's Delegation headed by the Council's Deputy Speaker Dr. Mohammed bin Amin Al-Jafari in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Abdulrahman Bin Suleiman Al AHMED, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Head of the Kingdom Mission to the European Union, visited on October 10, 2016, the Belgian Federal Parliament. During this visit they met with H. E. Mr. Sigfrid Bracke, President of the Belgian Federal Parliament, H. E. Mr. Pol Van Den Driessche, deputy president of the Saudi-Belgian Parliamentarians Friendship Group and member of the Belgian Parliament, as well as H. E. Ms Rita Bellens, Vice-President of the Committee of External Relations in the Belgian Parliament. They discussed throughout the meeting many issues of common interest and the Parliamentarians were briefed during which about the stances of the Saudi Arabia Kingdom on various international issues and on its efforts to promote international peace and security. The Shura Council Delegation visit comes within the framework of strengthening ties between the Kingdom and the friendly states and different parliamentary assemblies, activating the parliamentary diplomacy and in the context of stressing the kingdom's role availing both Arabic and Islamic nations' matters, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty king Salman bin Abdelaziz, His Royal Highness Crown Prince and The Deputy Crown Prince.
