H.E. the Ambassador Mr. Saleh Al-Ghamdi together with the complete staff of the Embassy attended the “Eid ul-Adha” prayer at the Embassy mosque and Mr. Hatem Edrees led the prayer ritual. After that everybody gathered around the table for the breakfast “Foutur” organized by the Ambassador at the Embassy’s yard.
On the evening of the first day of the feast, the Ambassador also organized for the ladies and the children of the Embassy’s staff a Eid- gathering in a playground for children where they spent an enjoyable time.
On the second and third day of the “Eid ul-Adha” feast the Embassy participated in the International charity bazaar organized yearly by the “Friends of the Child” of which proceeds will be used to support new Nursery School for children in need. The Embassy displayed and sold some small Saudi handicrafts and the visitors of the Bazaar had the opportunity to taste the famous Arabic coffee and the delicious Saudi dates, while the wives of the Embassy’s staff cooked for the occasion a large number of Saudi popular dishes. The Greek and foreigners were largely attracted by the Saudi exhibits that were presented and sold under the supervision of the Saudi ladies and the local staff of the Embassy. The event was covered by a number of the local TV channels that interviewed the ladies who supervised the Saudi stand at the Bazaar.
H.E. the Ambassador Mr. Saleh Al-Ghamdi handed over the proceeds of the Embassy stand to the organizing committee of the Bazaar which they highly appreciated.
