At the invitation of the President of the Rotary Club of Vouliagmeni Mr. Apostolos Liberis, the Ambassador of the Two Holy Mosques Mr. Saleh Mohammed Al Ghamdi attended on Monday, May 17^th , 2010, as a guest of honour, the meeting of the Rotary Club and met with its board of directors and a large number of its members. The Ambassador delivered on the occasion an elaborated speech concerning the Saudi policy on matters of Internal and External Affairs and the progress his country is undergoing in every aspect of life under the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz in sectors such as: Education, Health, Justice, Oil, Economy, Investments and External Policy.

He spoke about the achievements in education and health particularly about King Abdullah University. In the Judicial sector he explained that it is closely followed by His Majesty the King himself who intends strongly to modernize the judicial infrastructure by creating specialized courts and codifying laws translated in different languages. Speaking about Saudi women and their place in the society he praised their gigantic progress in sciences and their successful presence in the world of business. A number of photages were shown to prove some of the most important aspects of Saudi Arabia featuring the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, the new underway projects of the Industrial cities in the Kingdom, the excellence of Saudi women in the medical, social and academic fields that gives them the opportunity to stand side by side with their male colleagues.

Speaking on the Kingdom’s foreign policy he reiterated that it is a policy of non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs, a policy of peace and strong adherence to the principles of the United Nations and International Organizations always offering its assistance to every country in need.

As for its relations with Greece he referred to a large number of existing agreements or Memorandums of Understanding, the increase in the exchange of visits between dignitaries on both sides and said he was optimistic about the future of relations between both countries expecting further cooperation and participation in the sectors of investments and economic exchanges.

All present personalities and people attending the evening expressed their deepest thanks for this wonderful presentation and expressed their desire to visit the Kingdom and witness the wave of progress and development taking place in Saudi Arabia.
