The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Greece, Mr. Saleh bin Mohammed Al Ghamdi, hosted a dinner at a hotel in Athens in honour of the delegation representing the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities. The delegation included Governors and Mayors of several Saudi cities as well as government officials dealing with the Restoration of Architectural Heritage.

The event was attended by the Secretary General of the Greek Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Mr. George Koletsos, a number of Greek Investment officials, Ambassadors of the Gulf Cooperation Council, friends of the Saudi Embassy and the Embassy staff in Athens.

Among the members of this delegation are His Highness Prince Abdulrhman Bin Abdullah Al-Saud, the Governor of Almagmaa, and Dr. Ibrahim Al Ghabban, the deputy president of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities in charge of antiquity and museum affairs. They are set to visit a number of museums, tourist sites and regions dealing with heritage restoration. The aim of the visit is to gain knowledge and benefit from the experience of their Greek counterparts and exchange ideas relevant to the Kingdom. In addition, the delegation will meet with H.E. the Greek Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Pavlos Geroulanous and senior officials of the Greek Ministry of Tourism and Culture with the aim to further strengthen relations between the two countries and establish a platform for future cooperation in both sectors of Tourism and Antiquities and investment in urban heritage sector as well.
