A reception party and dinner was organized on board of His Majesty`s ship/Al Riyadh on the evening of June 30, 2009.
Al-Riyadh is one of three ships that reached Piraeus port on Monday 29, 2009 on a friendly visit to the Republic of Greece.
The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques H.E. Mr. Saleh Bin Mohammad Al Ghamdi together with the Navy Captain /Khalid Al Jahdali, the commander of the trip, invited a number of officers from the Hellenic Navy, Arab and Foreign Ambassadors, employees of the Embassy and a number of dignitaries from the Greek society.
In his address, the Ambassador welcomed the guests and expressed his delight and happiness for the visit of his Majesty`s ships which is the first by the Royal Saudi Naval forces to the Hellenic Republic. The Ambassador in his speech praised the existing cooperation between the Kingdom and Greece in all sectors.
On the occasion of the visit Navy Captain /Ali Jari Al Qarni, the commander of HM/S Al Riyadh , presented souvenirs to some of his distinguished guests.
