H.E. the Ambassador of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques to Greece Ambassador Saleh Bin Muhammad Al Ghamdi, visited the island of Rhodes in south Greece and met with H.E. the Governor of the Dodecanese Mr. Ioannis Macheridis and the Mayor of Rhodes Mr. Hatzis Hatziefthymiou. During his meetings the Ambassador discussed a large number of issues concerning the facilities offered to the Saudi citizens on visit to the island, in addition to the mutual cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Greece in the fields of Tourism and Trade.

His Excellency attended as well on Friday 17th July 2009 the graduation ceremony of the 14th session of the Rhodes Academy organized by the Aegean Institute of the Law of the Sea and Maritime Law.

Sixty participants trained in the Law of the Sea and Maritime Navigation,  out of which two of them were Saudi scholars.
