H.E. the Ambassador Mr. Saleh Bin Moh’d Al-Ghamdi has participated in the opening of the 2nd exhibition for Saudi women artists that took place in the Greek city of Porto Heli on Friday, August 14, 2009. A large number of people interested in fine arts of drawing and painting attended the event together with a lot of summer-vacationers who were there to enjoy this beautiful tourist city. The artworks exhibited were highly admired and a lot of people with interest in this kind of art expressed their desire for more exhibitions and the necessity to strengthen the cultural exchanges between the two friendly countries and peoples. Specially after having witnessed the extremely delicate and talented artistic works of the participants Saudi women that can largely compete with the works of women artists from Europe or elsewhere in the world.

During the opening, H.E. the Ambassador Mr. Saleh Al-Ghamdi expressed his appreciation and gratitude for all those who attended the exhibition. He stressed the need to continue such kind of activities which beside promoting the bilateral relations, shed more lights on creative  activities of Saudi women which proves that these women, while keeping their Islamic identity, are capable of producing admirable and creative works making it clear to everyone that the religious commitment cannot obstruct their talent but on the contrary, is a source of inspiration and excellence.
