Riyadh Dec 20 2005 : The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz received at his palace in Riyadh the Australian Governor General, Michael Jeffery.
During the meeting, the monarch welcomed the visit of the Australian Governor General, wishing him a good stay in the Kingdom , on his part, Jeffery and his accompanying delegations thanked King Abdullah for his warm welcome and gener- ous hospitality.
During the meeting, overall situations and developments at the regional and international arenas were reviewed and aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed. The meeting was attended by Dr. Saud Almutahami, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet, who was guiding the delegation; Adel Al–Jubeir Advisor at the Royal Court; Saudi Ambassador to Australia Hassan Nazer; and the Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom Ian Biggs.
During his visit to Saudi Arabia the Australian Governor General visited Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General. They reviewed issues pertaining to the bilateral relations.
The meeting was attended by a number of senior officials. Also the Governor of Riyadh Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, welcomed Mr Jeffery to his palace in Riyadh. They discussed topics of mutual concern to the two friendly countries. The meeting was attended by Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf Al Miqren, Mayor of Riyadh Region; Undersecretary of Governorate of Riyadh Region Dr. Nasser Al-Dawood; Saudi Ambassador to Australia Hassan Talat Nazer and Director General of Prince Salman's Special Office, Assaf Abu Ithnain.
