A female Saudi Student was murdered in Colchester on the morning of Tuesday, 17th June. She appears to have been the victim of Knife attack which took place shortly before 10:40 am while she was on her way to university. The victim's name has not yet been released pending formal identification and permission from the Coroner.
The Essex police force are investigating this attack and have a suspect in custody for question.
The Embassy is cooperating with the police to ensure that the culprit is brought to justice and will extended all its support to the victim's family.
The ambassador is personally monitoring the investigation.
