His Excellency Mr. Abdulrahman Bin Suleiman Al AHMED, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and head of the Kingdom Mission to the European Union, sponsored on August 29, 2016, the periodical meeting of the scholars studying in the Kingdom of Belgium. The meeting was organized by the Cultural Attaché of the embassy in the Kingdom of Belgium and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and took place at the embassy in the Belgian Capital, Brussels.
During the meeting, His Excellency Ambassador Al AHMED praised the pioneering role played by the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, may God protect him, who is paying great heed to offshore scholarships, which are an investment to the Saudi citizen being the core of nation-building and development, stressing the Kingdom's essential role in strengthening the bonds of cooperation and cultural communication between the Kingdom and the countries of residence of the scholars, the Kingdom of Belgium, among others, as well as benefiting from the actual scientific expertise in Belgium, and achieving the strategic vision 2030, he praised the role of the scholars in promoting the real image of the Kingdom's potentials, competences, and stature.
H. E. Mr. Al-Ahmed called on everyone to represent the Kingdom in an honorable way as ambassadors to their religion, country and society, he then expressed his appreciation to Aramco, the Saudi Oil Company for rewarding prizes to the distinguished students in the Kingdom of Belgium and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, stating that the embassy is cooperating to serving both the country and the citizens. Afterwards, the cultural Attaché of the Embassy Dr. Munir Al-Otaibi delivered a speech in which he spoke highly of the great support the cultural office is receiving from the Wise Leadership, he then listened to the scholars' interventions and answered their questions and inquiries, and complimented the interventions, which he described as positive. It is noteworthy that a number of topics of interest to the scholars were reviewed during the meeting, which was attended by embassy cultural Attaché, Dr. Munir Al-Otaibi, the Saudi delegate to the World Customs Organization, Mr. Abdulaziz Alfleih, and a number of employees of the embassy and scholars.
