Mosques to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Duchy of Luxemburg and the Head of the
Kingdom's Mission to the European Union Abdulrahman Sulaiman Al-Ahmad welcomed
the visit of the Delegation
for relations with the Arab Peninsula and
the Subcommittee Delegation on Human Rights of the
European Parliament to the city of Riyadh and meeting a number of officials from
28 to 30 October 2017.
Ambassador
Al-Ahmad said in a press statement that the visit comes through coordination
between the Shura Council and the European Parliament, and in coordination with

in serving the issues of the Arab and Islamic nations and international peace
and security led by Saudi leadership.
He
noted the appreciation of the European Union, its institutions and its members
for the kingdom's growing role both at the regional and international level, its
credibility and its keenness to support international peace and security, its
distinguished initiatives at the political and economic levels and its active
membership in many international and regional organizations and its tangible
humanitarian and relief efforts.
He
added that the visit comes after several visits between the two sides, the most
recent of which was the visit of members of the Friendship Committee with the
European and Belgian Parliament of the Shura Council to Brussels on 9-11 October
2017.
