 Dear friends and visitors,
     I am delighted to welcome you, on behalf of my colleagues and myself, to the website of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Italy, a portal aimed at providing useful and updated information on the Kingdom, its relations with the beautiful hosting Country, Italy, as well as an overview of the consular services offered to visitors travelling to the Kingdom.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Italy enjoy deep-rooted,  long-lasting relations. Italy was among the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with the Saudi State in 1932. The constantly expanding ties between the two countries have recently witnessed tremendous strides in terms of high-level visits and growing cooperation in trade, political, security and cultural sectors, crowned by the 11th  Session of the Saudi-Italian Joint Committee held in Rome in December 2017.  
Italy ranks among the first 10 world countries for imports to the Kingdom and over 70 Italian companies work in key infrastructure sectors, which makes Italy a strategic trading partner of the Kingdom in the current socio-economic development process of the country, boosted by the ambitious plans of Saudi  Vision 2030.
Saudi Arabia and Italy are co-members of the G20. The two countries also share a spirit of partnership and true friendship based on common values and enjoy very similar status respectively in the Mediterranean and Gulf regions, as well as in the Christian-Western  and Islamic- Middle Eastern worlds.
Moreover, Saudi Arabia ranks  6th   world-wide for the number of visas released by Italy to foreign countries nationals, which shows that Italy represents a primary destination for Saudi tourism, excelling in amazing landscape beauties, cultural heritage, fashion, art and outstanding food.
It is my sincere hope that you enjoy your virtual visit of this website, which is a gateway to the Embassy activities in its pursuit of further strengthening bilateral relations with Italy.
