The Protocol of the
establishing the diplomatic relations between Romania and the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia was signed in New York, in March 1995 and entered into force the same
year.
The Embassy of Romania was
opened in the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in Riyadh, in October
1996, and the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was opened in the capital
of Romania, in Bucharest, in 2002.
By opening the two embassies,
the relations between the two countries have seen a significant evolution in
all the fields.
