For the third time, World Assembly of Muslim Youth held its medical surgical convoy in Zanzibar and the Pemba Islands in the United Republic of Tanzania, where it included 18 distinguished doctors in four surgical specialties: General Surgery- Urology Surgery - Obstetrics and Gynecology - Pediatric Surgery.
The total number of operations carried out by the medical team amounted to 248 operations and 1016 medical examinations. The Minister of Health in Zanzibar H.E. Hamad Rashid Mohammed praised the efforts of the convoy and the role of its doctors in treating patients and relieving the injured.
The World Assembly of Muslim Youth has been establishing medical, surgical convoys and eye surgeries in many African countries, which have achieved tangible medical results and success.
