The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of India, H.E. Mr.Faisal Hassan Trad participated in the closing ceremony of the All India Competition for Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation of the Holy Qur’an, held at the headquarters of the Markazi Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadees in New Delhi, in which around 300 contestants nominated by Islamic educational institutions and organizations from various states of India participated.

 

Ambassador Trad delivered a speech on the occasion, in which he lauded the efforts of the Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadees towards serving the Islam and the Muslims, and encouraging the young to learn and memorize the Holy Qur’an so that they can understand and imbibe the true and tolerant teachings of Islam. In this context, the Ambassador pointed out to the efforts of the Government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in spreading the message of Holy Qur’an, including the organization of King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing the Holy Qur’an and also through the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an, which prints the Holy Book and the translation of its meanings in more than 60 languages. The Complex has distributed hundreds of millions of the copies of the Glorious Qur’an in different languages among the Muslims all over the world free of cost.

 

At the end of the ceremony, Ambassador Trad and Sheikh Ahmed Al- Roomi, the representative of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in the Embassy, distributed the prizes and certificates among the winners of the Competition.
