Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, was granted honorary doctorate by Jamia Millia Islamia (National Islamic University) during a ceremony held at the University's headquarters in Delhi.

The Deputy Director of the University delivered a speech in which he welcomed Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, saying that the honorary doctorate is granted to Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz in recognition of his efforts in developing Riyadh city as well as his activities in the charitable and humanitarian fields.

The Director of the University delivered a speech in which he highlighted the efforts exerted by Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz in social, cultural and humanitarian fields, saying that the University takes this opportunity to honor Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz by granting him the honorary doctorate.

Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz received the honorary doctorate, and delivered a speech in which he thanked the University for granting him the honorary doctorate. He also highlighted the relations between India and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

'The relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and India are witnessing development in all fields. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz are working with officials of India to deepen the ties between the two countries in all fields', Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz said.

Then, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz was briefed on the University's projects.

Later, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz met members of the University's faculty members. During the meeting, they discussed the educational process at the University. Following the meeting, Prince Salman received a commemorative gift on this occasion.
