The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia H. E. Mr. Saleh Mohd. Al-Ghamdi was the Chief Guest at a seminar on 'Education of Arabic language in India: Problems and Prospects" held at Jamia Millia Islamia university in New Delhi on Saturday  the 24th September 2005. The seminar was attended by the Vice-Chancellor and a number of professors of Jamia Millia as well as a galaxy of scholars from various parts of India who are working in the field of Arabic language education.

            The seminar discussed a number of topics related to the education of Arabia language to various sections of India as a vibrant language that can be utilized by India in cementing its historic links with Arab countries especially the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, keeping in view the growing relations between the Kingdom and India and also because of the presence of more than 150 million Muslims in India.

            Ambassador Al-Ghamdi expressed his willingness to cooperate with Jamia Millia in this field especially with regard to the training of teachers and modernization of Arabic language curricula in coordination with Saudi universities and specialized institutions.
