H.E the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to India Saleh Mohamed Al-Ghamdi participated in the seminar on “Palestine: 1967 and After” which has been organised by The Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), Ministry of Extenal Affairs, Government of India, and The League of Arab States Mission at Sapru House, New Delhi, and under the supervision of the Council of Arab Ambassadors in New Delhi, on the occasion of 40 years of the JUN 1967 WAR. H.E. Ambassador C.R. Gharekhan, Indian Prmie Minister’s Special Envoy for West Asia and Middle East Peace Process chaired the seminar, which extended from morning till evening on Friday 22.6.07. In addition to a number of notable Indian and Palestinian Intellectuals, and a number of Arab Ambassadors Accredited to India. The speakers in the seminar focused on assuring the Arabs rights, the right of Palestinian to establishe their Independent State and the need of withdrawal of Israel from all the occupied Arab Lands in Palestine, Syria and Lebanese Shaboa Farms and its respect to the International resolutions about the rights of the Palestinian People.
All the speakers gave credit to the important role being played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in order to achieve peace in the Middle East through its efforts in connection of Palestine, Lebnan, Iraq and Darfor region in Sudan, as a result of which the Kingdom has occupied a distinguished International position not only in the region but also in the whole world.
During the meeting H.E the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to India expressed his thanks and gratiudes to all the speakers for their words of appreciations about the Kingdom and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, reiterating that, all the efforts done by the Kingdom and its Leaders for achieving solutions to region problems, are only its Arabic, Islamic and International duties and it is avoiding the wars and disasters in the region.
