A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in India and India Islamic Cultural Centre, New Delhi at the Embassy premises in the Indian capital on Friday 28th September 2007.
According to the MoU, the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques will make a contribution of SR 1.2 million for completion of the Centre building. The project is expected to be completed within a year from the signing of MoU. The Embassy will follow up the execution of the project.
The MoU was signed by Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of India, Mr. Saleh Mohd. Al-Ghamdi on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the President of India Islamic Cultural Centre, Mr. Sirajuddin Qureshi.
