The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) held a luncheon at its headquarters in New Delhi on Friday 23rd May 2008, which was attended by the Secretary (East) of the Ministry of External Affairs of India and two Joint Secretaries of the Ministry as well as a number of Arab Ambassadors accredited in India. During the function, the Secretary General of FICCI presented a bouquet and a shield to the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to India, Mr. Saleh Mohd. Al-Ghamdi in recognition of his efforts towards deepening the bilateral ties between the Kingdom and India and enhancing the volume of trade and investments between the two countries.
The luncheon meeting was also utilized to discuss the India-Arab Partnership Conclave due to be held in the Indian capital next December and the preparations being made by FICCI to host Arab delegations and the conclave activities.
