The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is to be a leading participant in the forthcoming International London Book Fair, one of the global publishing community’s most important forums.

The fair, which will take place at Earl’s Court between 14-16 April, will see book sellers, publishers, and authors from all over the world with their latest products on display alongside a full programme of seminars on different facets of publishing and its related industries. The programme is “a concentrated 3-day trading and educational platform offering access to the world's books, real business contacts and shared knowledge,” said the event’s organisers. Many thousands of visitors are expected to attend.

The Secretary General of the Arab League, Amru Moussa, is to inaugurate the fair in the presence of the Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland HRH Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf, and other Ambassadors and diplomats from Arab missions in Britain on Monday 14 April.

HE Abdullah Al-Mouajil, the undersecretary for cultural relations from the Ministry of Higher Education in Saudi Arabia will represent the Kingdom at the event, along with Abu Bakr Bakadir, the undersecretary for international relations at the ministry. The Kingdom will have its own prominent stand at the fair, which will display a comprehensive collection of books from Saudi Arabia and its publishing houses.
