Commenting on alleged reports circulated by media in UK, that a Saudi court sentenced a man to be paralyzed, by medical surgery, for a crime he committed against another innocent man, the Saudi Ministry of Justice said: these reports are untrue, and the court decision is nothing of this sort.  The Judge who chaired the court rejected this punishment as requested by the victim’s family.

The Ministry of Justice calls on all concerned to be accurate and to verify false reports, as these untrue reports inflict damage, before anyone else, on those who believed them, innocently, to be true. The Ministry regrets to say that some of those who circulated these false reports are organisations, and institutions, who claim to be defenders of human rights and justice, while the first principle of justice, and human rights, require them first to verify the credibility of their source, and the accuracy of the information’s content.
