       The President of Human Rights Commission (HRC) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad met here today with Vice-Chair of European Parliament Committee on Employment and Social Affairs Tomas Zdechovsky, in the presence of the Head of the Kingdom's Mission to the European Union Ambassador Saad bin Mohammed Al-Arifi.

     During the meeting, they discussed ways to develop cooperation between the Kingdom and the European Parliament in social and humanitarian fields, in addition to a review of the Kingdom's efforts to support human rights, and reforms being witnessed in this field including the issuance of 60 decisions in all aspects of human rights.
      For his part, Zdechovsky emphasized that the Kingdom is a model of moderate Islam, and this is evident through its roles in combating extremism, and the importance of its position in the Islamic world.
