The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Australia and New Zealand Mr. Hassan Talaat Nazer inaugurated the site of the Saudi Cultural Attaché in Australia on the Internet. This project has been achieved through cooperation with the Australian National University in Canberra.
An inauguration ceremony was held at the embassy headquarters in Canberra This was attended by the Saudi Cultural Attaché' in Australia Doctor Solaiman Abdul Moeti Merdad, staff members of the Embassy and the Saudi Cultural Attaché’s office and Saudi Students.
The Cultural Attaché Doctor Solaiman Mrdad launched the ceremony by a speech hailing the efforts made by the team in completing the project. He also highlighted the expectation of the project particularly in providing users with user-friendly, timely, efficient and effective services.
After that the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Mr. Hassan Talaat addressed the ceremony. In his speech he hailed the project and appreciated the contributions and dedications made by young Saudis in finalizing the project. Then he inaugurated the site officially on the Internet.
In a statement he made to the Saudi News Agency after the ceremony, the Cultural Attaché indicated that the site can be accessed through the Internet address: www.sacm.org.au. He also provided details of some of the functions available on the site particularly in enabling Saudi students studying in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore to follow up their requests for services and to communicate with each others through the site.
