His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister launched on September 25, 2023 a plan to develop Soudah Peaks – a luxury mountain tourism destination. This project reflects the Kingdom’s interest and keenness to develop various regions of the Kingdom and benefit from advantages of tourism for each region to create an attractive economy, provide investment opportunities, and raise the quality of life and services provided to Saudi citizens, residents and visitors.
It is strategically aligned with Vision 2030 goals of expanding tourism and entertainment, supporting economic growth, attracting investments, contributing more than SAR29 billion to the Kingdom’s cumulative GDP by 2033, and creating thousands of direct and indirect job opportunities.
“Al Soudah Peaks” project will provide an unprecedented living experience while preserving the natural environment, and building an attractive modern economy for local and international investment.
The general plan for Al-Soudah Peaks unveils a luxurious mountain destination on the highest peak in the Kingdom, characterized by a unique architectural style and landscape that reflects man’s adaptation to the land through agricultural terraces, and celebrates the cultural richness of Al-Soudah and Rijal Almaa. Its facilities vary between hotels, luxury mountain resorts, and residential units,as well as palaces with captivating views and luxury stores, in addition to entertainment, sports and cultural attractions.
Al-Soudah Peaks is designed according to a sustainable environmental framework, in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, while preserving and developing natural resources.
Al-Soudah Peaks will provide luxury hospitality services, authentic experiences, and a wide range of high-end activities, which contributes to supporting the strategy of the Asir region development, and achieving its goals of attracting 10 million visitors and transforming Asir into a global tourist destination.
Al-Souda Peaks was developed in partnership with leading international companies in the field of urban planning, and will include 6 main areas located in distinct locations consistent with the nature and topography of the area, which includes Al-Souda and parts of Rijal Almaa.
Al-Soudah Peaks project aims to develop 2,700 hotel units, 1,336 residential units, more than 30 entertainment and tourist attractions, and 80,000 square meters of commercial space, by 2033.
The Soudah Peaks Project will contribute to supporting the efforts of the Public Investment Fund to empower promising vital sectors and achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Soudah Peaks is set across more than 627 square kilometers of inspiring nature, with less than 1% of the land being acquired for building, reflecting Soudah Development’s commitment to protecting and preserving the environment, following best-in-class sustainability standards. More than 28% of the project area has been protected and rehabilitated, by restoring the environmental balance, in order to achieve the goals of the Saudi Green Initiative.
