The Royal Embassy of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is pleased to announce that the Saudi Council of Ministers under the Chairmanship of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has granted permission to State Bank of India to open a branch in the Kingdom.
The State Bank of India can now open its full-fledged branch in the Kingdom for the benefit of Indian expatriate community, Indian and Saudi Businessmen also. The Saudi Minister of Finance has been authorized by the Council to look into the possibility of opening more branches in the Kingdom by SBI.
This is the first time that the Kingdom has given permission to any Indian Bank to have full-fledged operations in the country.
This is another step taken by Govt. of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to further strengthen the fast growing bilateral relations.
