The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in New Delhi and the Consulate General of Saudi Arabia in Mumbai have completed issuance of Haj visas for the pilgrims of the Republic of India for the current Haj season. The total number of Haj visas issued by the Embassy and the Consulate is 1,47,000 which is the quota allocated for the pilgrims of India for this year (1426 H.)
In accordance with the instructions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Ambassador Saleh Mohd. Al Ghamdi supervised the process of issuance of Haj visas for Indian pilgrims and also ensured the regularity of Haj flights carrying Indian pilgrims from different parts of India. The last Haj flight was Flight No. A1-801, which carried the official Indian Haj delegation led by H. E. K.Rehman Khan, Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha, the upper house of Indian Parliament on 5.12.1426 H.
