The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in India H.E. Mr. Saleh Mohd. Al-Ghamdi participated in the All India Haj Conference organized by Haj Committee of India in the Indian capital on Saturday the 20th May 2006. This was in response to the invitation extended to the Ambassador by Haj Committee of India which is supervised by His Excellency Mr. E. Ahmed, the Indian Minister of State for External Affairs, in-charge of Haj affairs.
Ambassador Al-Ghamdi addressed the Haj Committee members representing various States of India explaining to them the efforts made by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towards providing comfort to Haj pilgrims. Also stressed on the importance of the cooperation of official Haj delegations especially in educating and training the pilgrims, pointing out that providing pilgrims with necessary information about the performance of Haj reduced the risk of stampede and accidents and enables the Saudi Haj authorities to provide excellent services to all pilgrims and ensure their safety and smooth conduct of Haj rituals.
