In a grand ceremony organized by Institute of Marketing and Management in New Delhi, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of India Mr. Saleh Mohd. Al-Ghamdi was conferred “2006 Top Diplomat Award” in recognition of his efforts in taking the bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and India to an excellent level and bringing the two friendly countries closer, especially his contribution in arranging for the historic visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud to India in January this year.
The award was presented to the Ambassador by Governor of State of Haryana Mr. A.R. Kidwai in the presence of a number of government officials, businessmen and students of the Institute.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Al-Ghamdi thanked the Institute and its officials and expressed his delight for being chosen for this honour which is an appreciation for Saudi Arabia in the first place.
It may be noted that the Institute of Marketing and Management was established in 1967 and is considered one of the premier educational institutions in its field, having affiliation to some of the best universities of the world including Preston University of USA. It offers various post-graduate and Diploma courses in the field of marketing and management and also awards Ph.D. Degrees.
