The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the Republic of India Mr. Saleh Mohd. Al-Ghamdi participated in bidding farewell to the first group of Indian Haj pilgrims when they departed from New Delhi Airport to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, 22nd November 2006. He also addressed the pilgrims on this occasion urging them to observe the rules and instructions in the holy places and wishing them a blessed pilgrimage and safe return to home.
This took place in a ceremony organized by Central Haj Committee of India at the Airport lounge which was attended by H.E. Mr. E. Ahmad, the Minister of State for External Affairs of India, Ms. Sheila Dikshit, Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Saradgi, Chairman, Central Haj Committee of India and a number of India Foreign Ministry officials.
