The first batch of 44 Saudi students who will be studying in India under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Programme arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday (10th July 2007) led by Dr. Ahmed bin Saleh Al-Suwayyan, Advisor to the Ministry of Higher Education. They were received at the airport in New Delhi by the Charge d’ Affaires a.i. H.E. Mr. Hassan A. Al-Abdulwahed and Mr. Khalid Al-Farhan, Second Secretary along with representatives of Educational Consultants India Ltd., (Ed.CIL).

 

The Charge d’ Affaires a.i. hosted a dinner in honour of Dr. Al-Suwayyan and the students which was attended by Vice-Chancellor and faculty members of Jamia Hamdard, Chairperson of Ed.CIL and a number of Ed.CIL officials. The dinner was also attended by the Saudi Youth Delegation visiting India at present as well as officials of the Embassy and heads of the Saudi offices in New Delhi.
